thursday, june 2nd: we packed everything up and headed down to orlando! wasn't a bad ride...oh wait, HORRIBLE! let me correct what happened. so we left REALLY late wednesday night but my step-dad made me drive because he was sleepy and he really thought he could make the entire drive that night, so we drove about 2 hours and when he woke up he said "let's just get a hotel room tonight", i tried to tell him!! so then we woke up EARLY thursday and headed down and that was a lot better of a drive! then we checked in and got settled in, showers, unpacked, explored the resort, etc! and then it was off to get my work ID and costumes...can we talk about how much i DESPISE disney costuming! my options in shorts were either an 8 or take an 18! guess who was grumpy! lol. luckily morgan had a pair i could borrow! after that it was back to the hotel to wait for morgan, and then we went to play in MAGIC KINGDOM!!!! :)
friday, saturday, and sunday: jessica (my sister) had a softball tournament so i decided i would just pick up thunder shifts and work! friday and saturday were the only days i worked and i worked in the mornings so that morgan and i could have some play time before my family time set in!! we enjoyed some magical days in magic kingdom getting to eat all my favorite foods again; OH I HOW MISSED CASEY'S CORNER!! jessica and her team, Alabama Elite, ended up winning their tournament which got them a bid to nationals in Texas.
monday started the whole family vacation so we enjoyed lunch at Yak&Yeti in Animal Kingdom and rode just a few rides but we rode those multiple times!! then it was back to relax at the hotel because Hollywood Studios Extra Magic Hours. we didn't get TOO much done at DHS except Sunset Boulevard because that's all we really had time for! once the park was closing jessica, who is a diabetic, had to take her long lasting insulin shot so we stopped for her to take it. with all our adrenaline pumping we missed what could have been the scariest thing in the world. jessica took the wrong shot and let me just sum up this story for yall: she was rushed to first aid where she was then rushed to Celebration Health and was ALL NIGHT LONG having sugar water pumped through an IV. THANKS SOOO MUCH TO MORGAN WHO STAYED WITH ME DURING ALL OF THAT!!
tuesday and wednesday: we just enjoyed nice family time in all the parks!!! and then thursday mom and i packed up and headed back to alabama while PJ and jess headed to tallahassee for another softball tournament!
it felt soo good being able to enjoy the parks again and seeing old friends! and it is always sooo hard to leave!!
