isn't funny, that less than a month ago i updated about my experience with the halloween parties (that started in september) and now i am updating about christmas time! that's how we roll in disney. holiday after holiday! it took nov. 3-5 for the disney resort to transform from halloween to christmas and now christmas is in full swing at the walt disney world resort!
friday night we had the cast preview for the osborn family lights in hollywood studios! the streets of america is TRANSFORMED into a wonderful festival of lights consisting of more than 5 million lights that dance around to your favorite christmas tunes. absolutely beautiful. and don't forget the cookies and hot coco! and SNOW! yes, it does snow in orlando, florida!
and last night, sunday the 7th, magic kingdom had their cast preview for the christmas parade. mickey's once upon a christmastime parade. i have experienced the christmas parties before when i was a guest with my family. and i remember the cookies, coco, osborn lights, and my tink santa hat. but i don't remember the beautiful christmas lights on the castle nor do i remember this parade! and again, it wouldn't be christmas without the snow and festive music! the parade was absolutely beautiful and turns you into a kid at heart! disney has those powers! it's absolutely magical! i can't begin to describe the beauty of the this place, so pictures will help right??
here are a few pictures to put you in the mood for this holiday season! :)
many people have been asking about the holidays and my family! so let me just go ahead and catch everyone up on what's going on. i will not be home for the holidays. i actually won't be able to get back to alabama until the end of my program in january! however, i do have a couple of visits planned! my aunt cindy and her family will be here this thursday through sunday to keep me some company! and then i have my mom and grandmother coming next friday, for a little while to have a small thanksgiving since i won't be home! so i am set with visits for the month of november! in december, mindy's family will be in town and i have the 16th off to spend a day with them. maybe aunt cindy will come again! if anyone is interested in a visit, let me know and i can tell you about hotel discounts!!!
merry christmastime everyone!
have a magical day!
disney allie :)
